Vouni Palace has been an important site throughout history. It was built in the 5th century BC to control the city of Soli. This fascinating structure served as a living space for the people of Soli and hosted many important events. However, it was destroyed by a fire in 380 BC and disappeared from the historical stage.
The Palace Complex represents a magnificent architectural monument with a total of 137 rooms surrounding three sides of the central courtyard. These rooms were used by both the people and the rulers for their daily lives.
The palace is located on a high hill to the east of the Soli Ancient City. This location allowed the palace to observe and control the entire city of Soli. Even today, due to this unique location, the ruins of the palace offer visitors magnificent views of Soli.
